
George began working with Huddleston Tax in 2024. He is trained in all areas of accounting,
including individual income tax, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and financial
statements. He specializes in private social club tax matters and complex tax authority
disputes, and successfully advocated for the Washington State Legislature to pass SSB
6615.2004, saving clubs additional fees on charitable events. He has also contributed to
multiple tax cases that came before the Washington State Department of Revenue, compelling
the Department to adhere to the state tax laws.
George graduated from Seattle University in December 1973 with an accounting degree and
began working at Ernest Jonson & Company P.S. He became a licensed C.P.A. in 1976 after
completing all requirements and the two years in service. George was elected President of
Ernest Jonson & Company P.S. in 2000. During his Ernest Jonson & Company PS employment
he started and managed the software division specializing in club accounting. The division
supported more than 500 clubs using custom software developed by the company. The clubs
were located across 44 states and seven countries.
George also served on the boards of both the Washington State Golf Association and the Pacific
Northwest Golf Association for more than 20 years each. He received the Lifetime Service
Award from the Pacific Northwest Golf Association in 2006. Other memberships include the
Lake Forest Park Rotary Club and the treasurer of the Sheridan Beach Community Club. He is a
competitive golfer and a lifetime member at Broadmoor Golf Club.
He has been married to his wife, Bunny, for more than 50 years. They have two adult children
and three grandchildren.
