The Biden administration made an executive order focused on improving the “Customer Experience” for Americans. Especially those currently benefitting from a wide range of government services. Retirees will now be able to claim their benefits with ease. You’ll now be able to log onto a government website and claim your benefits there. You’ll also be able to receive information regarding the status of your application online.
Health Care in 1 Place
Those eligible for Medicare will have access to tools designed to find the most cost-effective way to get prescriptions. There are also options to help you take control over your health care. This means more customer support options and a less time-consuming process for your initial enrollment. This should dramatically improve the relationship between citizens and the Social Security Administration.
For Veterans
If you’re a veteran or a beneficiary, you’ll also be getting access to more online tools. Rather than multiple accounts to access all your benefits, there will be a central hub. In other words, 1 login for 1 site.
IRS Call Backs
If you’ve ever experienced lengthy hold times with the IRS, then you’re in luck. You will now be able to schedule a call-back instead of waiting on hold. They’ll also be launching new online tools to make the process easier for filers.
Disaster Relief
For those that have been displaced, or had their property damaged or destroyed, there are now more flexible ways to get relief. If you’ve lost a home in a disaster, the documentation needed is much easier to provide. This includes virtual inspections, and the ability to send photos as proof from your phone.
Loans and Student Loans
If you like 45 million other Americans have student loans to pay or are looking to get a loan, you’ll now only have to visit a single site to manage your loans. You’ll also receive automatic recommendations for any services you may qualify for.
The government will also be streamlining the process for millions of other Americans, including those in poverty, those traveling domestically and internationally, both small business owners and farmers applying for aid or loans, and newly expectant mothers and their children who are eligible for WIC. After the redesign, USA.gov is set to be the “Federal Front Door” for Americans in need.
